The Edge at Melbourne Skydeck

The Edge is a glass cube built into the side of Eureka Tower on level 88. With you inside, it slides 3 m out of the building and hangs nearly 300 m above the street. Its glass stays frosted as it moves out and turns clear once it stops.

The Edge is not part of General Admission at Melbourne Skydeck. It comes in two packages, or as an add-on bought with a deck ticket.

How a ride on The Edge works

No booked time: rides go by a queue at the deck, and the wait is shown when you arrive. The Edge Express Pass, A$10 per person, gets you called within 30 minutes of joining the virtual queue.

Hands free: phones, cameras, bags, food, drink and prams stay in a storage area before the ride.

Your photo: every Edge ticket includes a digital photo of the ride to download. Printed photos are sold on the day for A$20 each.
